Spring is 'springing'

The sandhill crane migration is going in earnest, now.  Several flights each day.  On my walk today, it was interesting to watch the main body circle high overhead while smaller flights caught  up and joined in.

No pictures.  They wouldn't show much more than dots against the sky anyway.

I was driving to church this morning and saw two adult Sand Hill Cranes walking along the highway with their two babies.

Ah, I guess this means I'll start getting some visitors hanging out in my lanai.

Chicks already. Spring is on its way. Last year we had a nesting pair in Exner Marsh nature preserve.
